Firstly, excellent location to see the city center. Nice decoration with photos of rock stars. Enough space in a room to spend a night. Shower and toilets are pretty clean. Staff guy helped with questions addressed to him.
Be prepared to "climb" a couple dozen of stairs before you get in a tiny lift. So, heavy lugagge or a stroller (as was in my case) could be a problem.

This is a great alternative hotel - big bright painted rooms with a rock and roll theme. The staff were friendly and with room-sharing (the suite I was in could sleep three) the prices are fine.
The place has real character, staying in the Pink Floyd suite put a smile on my face and the room was really nice to stay in - I far preferred it to an antiseptic chain hotel. The location in the centre of town is great.
The location was noisy and lack of en-suite toilet might put off some people. WiFi access was an expensive extra rather than free.

I found the setting of the hotel excellent, minutes from the both the old town and the new commercial centre of the city. overall i thought the place did exactly what it said, no more no less, a cheap hotel for travellers on a budget.
The only compliant i would have is that the rooms do not all have a bathroom. i ordered a suite but hadd to share a bathroom. small problem for some people.

The place is in the heart of the happening district. the staff are friendly and helpful.if you are totally no fuss then stay on......but the rooms are not very pleasing and do not encourage you to saty on except for a involuntary compromise.But being honest...looks like a great value for money proposition on a tight budget if you are the outdoorsey type.
Centre of happening district and lots to do around as you get down from the hotel.
Gives a sence of shadyness due to its color scheme and room structures.unwelcoming rooms.but then if you pay peanuts you only get monkeys.

Spanish girl 29 years old travelling with a friend.Quite clean, very well situated, friendly staff. Recommended for young people who want to combine sightseeing in Zürich and going out at night. At weekend a lot of party in the pub of the hotel( so noisy if you don´t like party). All the rooms has a name and they are decorated with some photos of the group that named the room( The Beatles, AC/DC, Bob Dylan...)so if you like pop-rock music that is your hotel! |
