Centrally located the Old Quarter, you can easily access all the Churches, museums, shops, restaurants and bars that make Zurich Switzerland’s most cosmopolitan city. Main reason for choosing Altstadt Hotel: Location
Great location within easy reach of the main shopping area and the trams. Lovely scenery along the river with some beautiful historic buildings and excellent restaurants and bars.
Very comfortable and clean rooms with friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and lots of healthy options available.
We found the lack of a comfortable lounge a bit disappointing. There was no room in which to chill out, read a book etc. apart from the bar which was not particularly comfortable. As we are non smokers and come from a country where smoking is not permitted in bars and restaurants it was not very pleasant having a smokey bar as the only place in which to relax.
