The Grange Hotel

The contemporary AA 2 Rosette restaurant complements the stylish ambience of this superb hotel and the modern British and European menu makes good use of local produce. An excellent Cellar Bar also serves lunch, snacks, drinks and cocktails from early until late most days.

Converted from the building’s old brick vaulted cellars, the Cellar Bar is the perfect meeting place for a morning coffee, a light lunch, cocktails or dinner. Sophisticated and yet relaxed, the bar’s relaxed ambience appeals to all.

From Leeds - via the a64 (avoiding York Centre). Travel East on the a64. Take the a1237 (York North & Thirsk). Continue for 5 miles following sign to Thirsk (a19). At the roundabout that intersects the a19, turn right (signposted York Centre a19).
Continue for 2 miles. The Grange is on the right hand side just beyond a footbridge. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just past the hotel. From the South M1 and A1 Travel North on the M1. At junction 32, take the M18 link to A1 North. At junction 2 take the A1 North. Continue until the sign marked York A64. Then follow the directions as shown above. From the East - (Scarborough, Bridlington and Hull) Follow the A1237 (outer ring road) signposted to Thirsk. At the intersection of the A19 turn to York (City Centre). Continue for 2 miles.

From Selby - via the A19 Go into York and follow the inner ring road signs direction Thirsk A19. Continue round to the North side. When you reach the sign to Thirsk A19 pointing to the right, follow this road for 500 yards. The Grange is on the left hand side, just beyond a Zebra Crossing. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just before the Zebra Crossing. From York Railway Station Turn left out of the station towards the Minster. Cross the River Ouse via Lendal Bridge. Turn left into Museum Street. At the A19 (Bootham) turn left. Continue for 500 yards, The hotel is on the left, just beyond a Zebra Crossing. The car park is off Queen Anne's Road just before the Zebra Crossing. York is under two hours from London and two hours from Edinburgh by train. The station is then minutes walk from the hotel.
