NH Centre Utrecht Hotel

The NH hotel chain offers modern accommodation and facilities across 19 countries for leisure and business travellers alike.

Housed in a building dating back to the 1870s, the NH Centre Utrecht has been fitted to provide guests with convenient, modern facilities that are tinged with a traditional touch.

Many of the rooms retain an original 19th century stained glass window. All of the rooms have en suite facilities, and non-smoking rooms can be requested.

One room is equipped with a kitchenette and can be requested on arrival, subject to availability. Priority is given to longer stays.

The hotel has two restaurants located on the ground floor.

The ‘Luden’ restaurant serves a variety of Dutch and international cuisine, with a selection of French specialities. It is open from 11:00 – 23:00, Monday to Saturday (from 16:00 on Sundays). An average 3-course spend is EUR 26.50.

The café ‘Broers’ also has an extensive food menu, including a champagne brunch specialty. It is open from 10:00 – 00:00 (from 09:00 on Saturdays). Meals are not served after 22:30.

A buffet breakfast served 07:00 – 10:00 (weekdays); 08:00 – 11:00 (weekends).

‘Dom Tower’ (0.3km) – At 112 m, this is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. Guided tours offer trips to the top, where on a clear day it is possible to see Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Aboriginal Art Museum (0.4km) – showcasing contemporary Aboriginal art, with several new exhibitions each year.

By train:
The hotel is 0.8km from the central station, where bus routes 3, 5, 9 and 11 can be boarded to 'Janskerkhof', where the hotel is situated.
If walking:
- go through the ‘Hoog Catharijne’ shopping centre and follow the signs for ‘Muziekcentrum Vredenburg’
- When exiting the shopping centre, you will be on the ‘Vredenburg’ square. Head right towards ‘Lange Viestraat’.
- Go over the bridge onto ‘Potterstraat’.
- Continue onto ‘Lange Jansstraat’.
- Turn left onto ‘Janskerkhof’.

By car (from Amsterdam):
- From the A2, take the exit to ‘Lage Weide – Ring Utrecht (noord) – Maarssen’.
- Turn left at ‘Zuilense Ring’ and head toward ‘Lage Weide – Maarssen – Vleuten’.
- Continue on N230
- At ‘Gandhiplein’, take the 2nd exit onto ‘Karl Marxdreef’
- At ‘Henry Dunantplein’, take the 2nd exit onto ‘Albert Schweitzerdreef’
- At ‘Robert Kochplein’, take the 1st exit onto ‘Darwindreef’
- Bear right at ‘Eykmanlaan’
- At ‘Eykmanplein’, take the 2nd exit onto ‘Blauwkapelseweg’
- Continue on ‘Kleine Singel’
- Bear left at ‘Wittevrouwensingel’
- Turn right at ‘Wittevrouwenbrug’
- Bear left at ‘Wittevrouwenstraat’
- Turn left at ‘Boothstraat’ onto ‘Janskerkhof’.
