The UK's best loved spy can emerge from any exotic location without any hassle from customs, girl in tow and martini "shaken and not stirred". To celebrate the release of the latest Bond classic Quantum of Solace at cinemas around the UK on October 31st we point you to the most memorable Bond sets and locations.

Lake Constance

Daniel Craig's Bond stalks his enemy at a performance of the Tosca Italian Opera around Lake Constance that touches on Germany, Switzerland and Austria in Quantum of Solace. Instead of chasing the bad guys you can come here to sail, water ski, fish or relax. It's a sweet wine spot with delicate and fruity Muller Thurgau freshly squeezed from the vines. Eat at the lakeside restaurants where they serve up tasty fish and game from the nearby forests.

Monte Carlo

This part of the principality of Monaco provides all the glitz and glamour - not to mention million pound yachts for our spy in GoldenEye. Relive a Bond moment by visiting a decadent casino if only to watch the big spenders bust out on the large stakes tables. Roulette, black jack and poker as well as some high class cocktails are on offer. Suit jackets are compulsory so that men remain shaken and not stirred while women should dress to impress.

Corfu

This Greek island is paradise for doing what Bond does best - going diving, yachting and fraternising with members of the opposite sex. This is a beautiful scenic island with green clear water, perfect for scuba diving or snorkelling the marine wildlife. In the early part of For Your Eyes Only we see a British spy trawler sunk off this Greek island by a mysterious mine. What sort of hotel on Corfu would Bond most be likely to stay in? Only the best hotels in Corfu would do for 007.

BakuThe World Is Not Enough shows Bond travelling to the edge of eastern Europe to Azerbaijan where a Pierce Brosnan Bond investigates a route for an oil pipeline through the Caucasus mountains. Check out this area for some action in the form of nearby ski piste. This is cosmopolitan capital was built on oil money, which boasts a boulevard like Paris and unique volcanic mud pools. Azerbaijan tourism consists of fine art galleries, museums, scenery, including the Silk Road. This location is also set to be cheap.

Belgrade

Bond travels through the best hotels in Belgrade in From Russia With Love and the affordable accommodation in Zagreb in former Yugoslavia to meet his match at the hands of his Soviet counterpart in this movie. Check out which Belgrade hotels Bond would have stayed in and the list of Zagreb guesthouses. Following independence these cities are now renowned for their nightlife as well as museums and galleries telling the tales of independence. Check out the cafes on the cobbled streets lit by gas lamps for a taste of secret society and check out the prices which are touted to be among the cheapest on the continent at the moment.
