Catch the Swiss National Circus Knie on tour this summer as clowns, acrobats, animals and trapeze artists take up residence at the Allemand in Lucerne.
The shows kick off on July 25th and last until August 10th, although no performances have been scheduled for August 1st.
Now boasting one of the most famous troupes in all of Europe, the family-run Circus Knie has been performing for approximately 200 years.
The most popular acts revolve around breathtaking horse stunts, elephant tricks and an unusual seal show too.
Mastery shown by both the animals and their trainers has seen the circus pick up a host of glittering awards in recent years, most notably at the prestigious Monaco Circus Festival.
This year is especially poignant for the company - it marks five years since the death of its co-director and celebrated rider Frederic Knie, who was a member of the fifth generation of the circus family.
