Cut out motorway jams with a more relaxing railway route between London and the popular British holiday resorts of Devon and Cornwall.
The Night Riviera Sleeper train service between London Paddington and Penzance was recently relaunched following a £2 million refurbishment by First Great Western.
Upgrades include new branding and soft lighting and improved fixtures and fittings designed by the man behind Porsche and Eurostar interiors, Michael Rodber.
The service operates between Sunday and Friday, calling at Reading, Taunton, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Plymouth and all mainline stations in Cornwall.
In total, the journey takes eight hours and 15 minutes and passengers can choose between 18 carriages offering first class and standard sleeper berths or comfortable reclining seats.
Penzance is a five-hour car journey from the British capital - a distance of 286 miles. The town is also accessible by aeroplane with Newquay airport just 41 miles away.
