Hotel Arkada

Breakfast is buffet style. There is an excellent tavern in the hotel, offering traditional Dalmatian food in a relaxed atmosphere with sea view. The snack bar Porat situated by the pool offers delicious home-made sweets and a big selection of drinks.

The hotel is situated directly by the sea, surrounded by pine woods and Mediterranean plants such as olive trees, rosemary and lavender.

Stari Grad (Old Town), on the island of Hvar, is one of the oldest towns in Croatia. Known in ancient times as Pharos, it was founded in 385/384 B.C. by Greek colonists. It was built on the place where the deep bay meets the island's rich fields and valleys with their vineyards and olive groves. The town is surrounded with pine forests and is cooled by a summer breeze (maestral).

When approaching from Split to Stari Grad (main port on the island of Hvar):
Hotel Arkada is situated on the other side of the town of Stari Grad. Turn right and follow signs for Stari Grad, Helios Faros d.d. and Hotel Arkada. Stay on the main road and after around 2 km turn left to Stari Grad. Pass the end of the bay and follow the road till the end. Total distance is around 3 km.
