Our spa is a Finnish smoke sauna and an outdoor wooden bath filled with spring water.
Walking, skiing or mountain biking on more than 50 km of marked paths starts and returns at our hotel. We will provide you with maps.
In the “Eldpallskojan” on a small “hill” you can enjoy sitting around the open fire. The old bakery house with the wood-fired oven and open fire place provides a taste of history.
There are a lot of lakes and streams nearby where you can fish, ice skating or bathe.

Our bedrooms are located in four timber buildings, all with their own distinct character.
The rooms do not have TV or telephones. Some of the rooms have their own bathroom but most of them are shared.

Our kitchen caters for up to 100 people in two dining rooms, or if you wish to take a walk or enjoy some other outdoor activities during lunch or dinner we can arrange a picnic for small groups.
We use the spring water for cooking and serve it as drinking water. We are also fully licensed.

Skålsjögården is located in the small village of Skålsjön along the border between Dalarna and Hälsingland.
As our guest you can enjoy the wonderful nature that boasts forests, lakes and wildlife and even take trips to the local tourist attractions and activities in either Dalarna or Hälingland.

Via road 50, Bergslagsdiagonalen by car, bus or bike.
We are located 70 km north of Falun, 70 km north-east of Rättvik, 30 km south of Alfta / Edsbyn and 280 km northwest of Stockholm.
The nearest train stations are in Falun or Bollnäs and a bus travels each way
once a day.
