We have stayed here before. It is within walking distance of Sintra. The hotel is quite small, almost like staying in somebodys house. Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely room

Friendliness of staff. Homely atmosphere. Location was great, right beside all the amenities, buses-restaurants. Loved our room, really old worlde style.
Four poster bed looks great BUT the mattress is almost as hard as wood!I kid you not! After an exhausting day trekking and sightseeing you really do need a good nights sleep on a nice comfortable bed!

The hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. We were offered off road parking 100 metres from the hotel (which they have hired from a neighbour) at no cost due to the fact that the hotel is located on a very narrow road with no parking of its own. The hotel is very close to the town centre which is convenient.
We booked a table in the restaurant on a Sunday evening at the end of August and were very disppointed after having been enticed by a good sounding menu. The main courses were expensive (23 Euros) and the cooking was stodgy and prepared without care and love. We didn't bother with pudding. This let down the whole experience of staying in the hotel.

Charming historic atmosphere, proximity to the center of Sintra, friendly staff, upgrade to the Lord Byron Suite
Sometimes the lack of sidewalks and the ways in which the cars were parked made it a bit difficult to get down the road.

Lacked a swimming pool but understandable due to its situation. Loved the feelof the place, its quaintness and history + its position in Sintra
