Fried Castle Hotel and Restaurant

The history of the castle goes back to the early 20th century. The Fried family built it in beautiful secessionist style. This family was the owner of the biggest leather factory in those days in Hungary and ruled all the cultural, social and economical life of Simontornya. In the hotel's beautiful French park you can take relaxing strolls amidst huge trees and feel the spirit of the beginning of the last century.

The conference room with full equipment for 50 people is available for conferences and company trainings.

For the wellness lovers there is a jacuzzi, a Finnish sauna, an aroma steam cabin, hydro massage facilities and curing massage services.

We have a 60-seat restaurant, where our guests can taste all the dishes of the Hungarian cuisine but also international specialities. The pub is an inviting place to relax over your favourite drink and in summer our guests can join pleasant barbecue parties on the 80-seat terrace.

To the castle hotel belong some wine cellars and vineyards, where traditional wines can be tasted after a stroll through the scenic hills.

The Castle Hotel is situated in the Tolna county, in the beautiful small town of Simontornya next to the Sió canal, 120 km away from Budapest, 50 km from Szekszárd and 40 km from the famous Lake Balaton.

Visit the fabulous church built in Baroque style in the 17th century and the wonderful castle with its pictures gallery, which was built in the 13th century in Renaissance style. There are some smaller churches in town where weddings can be organized for Catholics, Lutherans and others. The Csók István Museum can be visited too and for those who enjoy horse races, there is a racecourse in town, complying with EU requirements.

Nature lovers can have a rest at the Pósa lake in Simontornya and also visit the Rétszilas Nature Park, which is not far from the hotel. There are also big lakes where our guests can go fishing and rowing.
