Its close proximity to Athens and Piraeus Port make Serifos one of the most popular island getaways for visitors from Greece and abroad. You can admire the beautiful Church of Agios Georgios near Serifos Port, and visit nearby Chora.

Serifos is celebrated all over the world for its amazing beaches and crystal-clear waters. These include Livadi Beach, as well as the stunning beaches of Livadakia, Avlomonas, Lia, Agios Sostis Agios Ioannis, Psili Ammos and Karavi, all close to Livadi.

If you want to explore the beaches in other parts of the island, we recommend Avessalos, Koutalas, Malliadiko, Megalo Livadi, Platis Gialos, Sykamia and Kendarchos Bay.

Other sights include Gria Castle, the Hellenistic White Tower and the cave in Koutalas, as well as the houses in the abandoned village of Pyrgos.

Don’t miss trying the local delicacies in the taverns, restaurants and ouzeries that are scattered along the seafront and in the picturesque winding alleyways. Some favourite dishes are revithada (baked chick peas), marathotiganites (fried fennel pies), loutza (sun-dried pork) and locally-produced cheeses.
