Enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, with its lakes, moors, osprey, white-tailed eagles, orchids and deer.
The national park is situated in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District, which has a 600-kilometre network of hiking trails and cycle paths. Guests can take park in guided walks and observations during the deer rutting season and the crane migration season in September and October, and during the white-tailed eagle breeding season.

Drive along the Autobahn A 19 and take the exit Waren. Continue down the federal road B 192 towards Waren. Drive through the town. After approximately 2 km you will reach a junction in the woods. Take a right towards Kargow, Speck. Drive through the small towns of Kargow and Federow until you reach Schwarzenhof.
