Park Inn York

The whole experience was very good .

	The meals were wonderful both breakfast and evening meals
	The only Drawback was the fact that the room directly above was being refurbished and the noise was horrendous. we were informed that work was being carried out but the workmen sounded as though they were in the room with you and no afternoon rest was possible.

We had an excellent stay for our wedding anniversary in beautifully refurbished room. Champagne and strawberries in room on arrival were a lovely surprise. Can`t really fault anything. Thankyou.

Location perfect, but regrettably in need of an upgrade in decor and attention to detail. Food very good, with attentive staff.

	A lack of attention to detail eg paintwork, embarrassingly noisy door to room, dirty shower mat, top of wash basin tap missing, etc. Poor value for money.

I booked this hotel as part of a weekend away 30th birthday present and would not recommend it at all. It was shabby, past its best, surrounded by scaffolding and a great disappointment and my daughter and her husband only stayed one night(as opposed to the three that they were booked in for), which mean't they had to find another hotel. Having read the reviews too late for this hotel, I would recommend that the booking agency does not include this place in their range until improvements take please!

	The bed was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Just about satifactory although the lack of English seaking domestic staff was very difficult especially when I tried to ask about my 'lost' mobile phone. On calling the reception they were very diffident bout my loss and did little initially to try and help although on face to face contact they did do a little better.

We felt that the price we paid for the room was too expensive. The room we stayed in was in need of a refurbishment, it was very dated and starting to look grubby. We were put in a smoking room which i did not ask for and so it smelt of stale smoke which was not very pleasant at all. The mattress was worn out and the duvet was paperthin which made it cold and so we had to have the heating on all night.

	The breakfast was nice and the bar was nice looking out onto the river.
	We were not impressed with the room nor the price we paid for it. We were expecting a bit of luxury and did not get it at all.

Location excellent but can be noisy as people return from the clubs and pubs. Hotel rooms clean as is the self service breakfast. However, hotel rooms would benefit from makeover as they look a little tired.

WHILST WE DID ENJOY OUR WEEKEND THE HOTEL ITSELF IS READY FOR A REFURB. THE DECOR IS TIRED AND VERY MIS-MATCHED AND CONSIDERING WHAT WE PAID FOR THE STAY WE GOT VERY LITTLE IN THE WAY OF LUXURIES/TREATS WHEN COMPARING THE HOTEL TO OTHERS WE'VE STAYED IN NOT JUST IN YORK. BREAKFAST WAS NICE AND STAFF OK. THE OTHER CHANGE WE DISCOVERED SINCE LAST VISITED IS YOU NOW HAVE TO PAY TO PARK YOUR CAR THIS I FEEL IS WRONG ESPECIAALY WITH WHAT THEY CHARGE FOR ROOMS. DEFINITELY GONE DOWN HILL SINCE OUR PREVIOUS VISIT.

	LOCATION IDEAL AND BREAKFAST OK.

I booked the hotel at the last minute and nearly cancelled as the reviews were not good. I was pleasantly surprised, the location was perfect, our room was good, not outstanding but clean and acceptable. We did go to the hotel restaurant but were very disappointed by the quality of the food and the service. The service was very very slow even though we ate early and the restaurant was nearly empty, I would strongly recommend you eat else where. The breakfast however was excellent, both fresh and varied. Overall we received value for money in a great location and would stay here next time we have a short break in York.
