Minster Hotel

The room was a good size, the bathroom would benifit a refurb as the shower did not work, the hotel is in a good location close to the city walls, the tariff included continental breakfast with full English breakfast charged extra if required.

The Minster Hotel was very pleasant and local to the City Centre. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and tidy adequate for our needs.

	The location was excellent, as it was very close to the Minster and several other attractions. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful.
	Unfortunately the bed in our room was very hard and we had trouble sleeping, and to be honest I was glad we had only booked for one night. The bed desperately needs changing for something more comfortable. (room 15)

We had a lovely time and am planning to go back in the autumn for my daughter's hen party.

	Went to Yorvik, Betty's and found lots of nooks and crannies we hadn't been to before.
	The only fly in the ointment was that the on-line booking form gave the impression there was a full english breakfast instead it was a continental one.

This is an overated hotel, in very poor condition. We were totally unhappy with the service of the staff, except for the person on reception in late afternoon of checkin who was flabbergasted at the state of the bathroom and room. There was mold all round the tub/shower, sink area was disgusting, room was filthy, curtains, windows, chairs - totally disgusting.

The television set was not working, and nothing was done about it although we were staying for three nights.As we were on holiday we wanted to see the weatherforecast and the news. However, the staff gave us discount for the inconvenience which we appreciated.The journey and stay in York was a birthday treat for my sister in law. It was her first trip to York, and I felt disappointed that not everything was perfect.

	The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was very nice. The location was perfect.
	As I have already mentioned, the incident with the television set. It should have been put right during our stay.
