A very enjoyable place to stay - thank you

Bedroom was very comfortable and relaxing; breakfst was great- thank you

We were in room 102 and the decor in the bathroom left a lot to be desired with the wall paper pealing off and cracked tiles No master light switch - had to enter room and put on a table lamp

This was only our second visit to Winchester. We were seeing our son who is in his first year at the 'uni'. On our first visit we stayed at a B and B and felt unwelcome from start to finish; book in late get out early. This was not the case at your hotel where we were allowed to book in and leave at fairly civilised times. We will stay there again.

The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was really nice, as were the staff who dealt with us.

Parking is a problem, I think you recognise this and have made provision for double -parking as long as a key is left with you. £15 for two large brandies nearly had me crying but you may not be able to do much about that.

We had a great time. The hotel was in a really good part of town and it was easy to find. The room was comfortable but had a stale smell of smoke. We are not smokers and I think it may have been a smokers room at one time. We also felt the hotel was in great need of a re- furbish a lot of it needs attention. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite.

Getting away and relaxing was a priority and the staff made this possible.Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

The bathroom neede a sefety rail in the bath. The restaurant was dissapointing in the evening.

Location was ideal for our visit to Winchester. When we arrived we found a dead light bulb on the bed and one of the wall lights was missing a bulb. The uplighter in the room also did not work. These problems were reported to reception and a member of staff came along later with a new bulb for the wall light. The uplighter was not fixed during our stay.

Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Staff at breakfast were equally welcoming.

The problems with the lighting should not have been there.
