This was the first time I have stayed at St Paul's but many of my business colleagues stay here and have recommended it highly. I was not disappointed - everything was perfect. Also, I had asked for a quiet room because of health reasons and even this was catered for. Only one minor point. My taxi dropped me outside the rear of the hotel by the Spa. I found it a bit difficult (tired, after a long journey) to find the Hotel Reception. Perhaps some directions(unless I missed them) clearly pointing to the front of the building and Reception might be useful.

Everything! The ambience, decor, the helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff, the friendliness. I just could not fault it. The waiter in the resturant was especially helpful and even arranged for me to have a newspaper to read.

All perfect - thank you

For the rate we payed it was very good value. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would have liked to have stayed for breakfast but it was too pricey unfortunately.

The big bedrooms, toilettries in the bathroom, the large shower, speakers in the bathroom

It would have been good if the mini bar had been restocked upon arrival. It hadn't been done following the departure of the previous guests.

Great hotel, great location. Would highly recommend it.

Thought that the price was a bit steep and could have been more attractive.

The room we were initially booked into clearly had not been cleaned even though we were told it had been. There were items belonging to the previous occupiers in the room: cans of lager, used theatre tickets and an old paper. All this we could have put up with apart from the fact that the bed linen was not new. The sheets and pillow cases were so creased, it was very obvious they had not been changed! We mentioned this to the reception staff and we were assured that the room would be cleaned so we left our luggage there and went out for approximately two hours. On our return the bed linen still had not been changed and so we asked to be moved to a different room, which we were and which was to our expectations. The reception staff were very apologetic and came up with us to help us move our belongings into the new room. It is not the reception staffs fault that the room had not been cleaned properly. Whilst everything appeared to be clean in our new room we were disappointed to notice that the bathroom could have been cleaner. Hair was clearly visible on the bathroom floor and in the bath. Needless to say we had only showers!

Friendly staff - comfortable surroundings - excellent location

I do not think it is too much to ask for a bathroom to be clean when you first enter a room. It would not take more than a couple of minutes to sweep a bathroom floor.

This is an excellent hotel well situated in the center of Sheffield. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms were spotless. We were at the world snooker championships and this hotel is ideal.

my stay was very nice only tainted by a broken fridge which meant having to call reception 5 time to get someone to look at the problem. the lady on the desk was rude and unhelpful and on one of the calls a man picked up the phone and actually started talking in french. when asked why, his reply was that his accent was very strong (laughing was heard in the back ground at this comment). eventually a very helpful man was sent up and the room changed due to the faulty fridge though his efforts were to late as i was already greatly annoyed at the way i had been treated.

the suana and experiance shower were very relaxing

the breakfast was a little dissapointing. one of the worst hotel breakfasts i have ever had.

Excellent city centre hotel with beautiful Spa.

Spacious room with lovely view of the Peace garden. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well designed with bath and shower. It all felt especially clean.

The access was awkward for arrival and dropping off luggage. Breakfast was expensive and no cheaper continental alternative.

Service in the cafe was appalling although I will say the duty manager dealt with my complaint admirably. The bar manager was also extremely helpful and friendly. Issues arose with the waitng staff who were rude and unhelpful and incredibly slow

Location of the hotel

Level of service in the afternoon tea area.

A really good city centre hotel tha we hae stayed in several times, usually after a night out in Sheffield, bit pricey but worth it for a touch of luxury. Also the rooms oerlooking the Peace Gardens, especially at night when it's lit up, are stunning.
