Brilliant hotel! It was a real privilege to stay here. All walls covered with fabric or marble. Beautiful 1913 former villa by a top architect, Marcello Piacentini. Close to Mussolini's restored Villa Torlonia and the churches and catacombs of Santa Agnese Outside the Walls and the incredible mausoleum of Santa Costanza. Nice express trolleybus (90) into town and a nearby metro station (Bologna).

This restored building seemed to have just opened (2008) as a hotel and everything was new, down to the cutlery and the staff's suits. |
