Albergo del Senato

This was an excellent hotel -- elegant, great location, and a concierge who was extremely helpful and friendly.

	The helpful, friendly staff and the attractive lobby. The rooms are not large, but comfortable and clean.

The room we had booked wasn't ready when we arrived so they gave us another one. There was no direct view of the Pantheon and the square but, because it had quite a nice balcony and it was large, we were quite happy with it. The problem was that the room had been recently renovated and the finishings left quite a bit to be desired. The TV didn't work properly, nor did the phone. Furthermore the heating seemed to have a mind of its own. The real problem, however, was that the bathtub leaked and the water gradually collected under the new wooden parquetry. Eventually this gave way and buckled. We had the inconvenience of having to move and to a room which, though having a good view of the Pantheon and the square, was considerably older, smaller and with somthing of a "hard" bed. The hotel tried to make amends with a bottle of complimentary chanpagne and a discount. This plus the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff coupled with lovely service for breakfast and a pleasant bar more than made up for the inconvenience. When in Rome again, I would be very happy to stay at the "Albergo del Senato". The location alone was worth the unexpected change of rooms!

A very clean and bright hotel with very helpful staff. superb location for central Rome.All sights within walking distance. The hotel is both pretty and clean and has great view from rooftop bar.

Great location, nice and helpfull staff. It was our first stay in Rome, and we will definately stay at Albergo del Senato next time we are going to visit Rome. We had a nice and guiet room on the 3.rd floor with a wiew at the Pantheon. Mikael & Birte
