Hotel Royal

The hotel provided very comfortable accommodation for myself and septogenarian mother, sharing a two-bed room with en-suite. Staff willingly assisted with luggage up to the first floor where our room was as no lift. Mother had stayed there two years previous and remarked on the great improvement in breakfast. This hotel catered for various clientele as was evident by several business discussions over breakfast, young couples, ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble for the very willing staff. We stayed four nights in this central but quiet hotel set off street in a courtyard with parking facilities.

• Everything. Well appointed, well informed with a great selection of leaflets/cards within the hotel on the town's attractions and history.
• The only comment would be that when people smoked in the beer garden area a whiff of smoke came through the bedroom window and could be a bit noisy. Closing the window helped!

Very helpful and friendly staff. good selection cold (butlimited hot) food for breakfast. Very clean and tidy. Ten mins walk from main square.

• we chose twin beds. Room was l-shaped with beds at right angle to each other. One bed 3" narrower than the other.
