Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes

Nice hotel, except the mistake they did at our arrival giving us a wrong room, with someone inside. Finally we get the right one, but seems was a double room single use, because the first day there weren't enought towels in the bathroom. The staff was nice, they let meuse their computer to check internet, because their internet point didn't work. I apologize about the fact that there is no gym at the hotel.

Apart from parking problems this is a great place to discover Palermo. The hotel has an agreement with a nearby garage but it is still an issue to drop the car at the main entrance. The services of the concierge are of great help. Gobally the staff was very friendly and efficient. The only little problem was breakfast in the main dinning room; the logistic should be impoved.

The hotel is very elegant but is also friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated and are very comfortable. The breakfast is good.

I LOVED the Grande Hotel at des Palmes! I had read that some of the rooms were still in the process of being remodeled, and not so elegant, but I thought mine was fantastic. Looking out the windows from my room, I had views of the mountains one way and the sea the other, down at the end of the city streets. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The location, for a woman staying alone in Palermo, was perfect: I felt very safe on the streets at night, and there were many restaurants within walking distance. I am not an extravagant traveller; I was on a budget, and I felt that the Palmes was an extremely good value and I felt very pampered. The special deal I got included everything I had been promised, including the full bottle of wine that was delivered to my room right after my arrival.

	The staff at the front desk was very nice, and kindly tolerated my attempts at speaking Italian, although their English was perfect. I loved walking up and down the staircase. The location was fabulous, very easily accessible by public transportation.

The hotel is quite pleasant, the location is very good. I understand that some refurbishing is uner way, this will increase the pleasantliness of the premises.

We really loved the renovated grandeur of this superb hotel. The service and staff were excellent. They encouraged our efforts in Italian and were most helpful. The hotel is really well placed for public transport and eating out.

	See above. Particularly useful was the 'left luggage' facility afetr we checked out.
	A pity the restaurant was closed. I am sure it would have been a great experience to eat there.
