Hotel Victoria 4

We stayed three nights in this very nice hotel, in a double bedroom, which may have been much more comfortable if: (a) the double bed would be wider than only 1.40 mts, and (b) if the mattress would be of a better quality...

The hotel appears to be in a run-down location but this is just the way of Madrid. In fact, it couldn't have been in a better location. Good value for money but there is no character. The staff were most helpful. Rooms were large enough to be adequate if you stay for a few days - if you are expecting to spend most of your time in the hotel room, this is probably not the place for you. Breakfast perfectly adequate - a short wait for tables on some mornings but nothing the staff didn't try to resolve as quickly as possible. All in all, a good standard budget priced hotel which is in an excellent location for a few days in Madrid.

• Location was good, staff were very helpful.
• Bath towels were a little threadbare (although clean) but as we didn't ask for them to be changed it can't have caused us any hardship.

The Hotel was OK, but I'm sorry to say - the noise from the street - during the whole night - with loud music, screaming drunk people was unbearable, so I will find a more quiet area the next time I book a hotel in Madrid

This is a fantastic hotel which I would have no hesitation at staying at again. It is modern, quiet at night but has a brilliant location and is close to all the highlights. Real value for money too!
