La Résidence

Absolutely recommended! There is no need to spend more for a convenient and clean hotel in Lyons. My husband and I spent five nights there for a conference in late August and wanted easy access to the city's high points to make the most of our free time. La Residence completely fit the bill. It is within walking distance of the major train/bus station (where you can get a bus to the airport) as well as the metro. And it is right in the downtown pedestrian district, close to many great restaurants, museums, and of course shopping. Added bonus, the friendly staff speak English and there is free internet in the hotel lobby.

	We were extremely lucky by getting 1 of the few rooms with whirlpool like bath tub, very relaxing.
	Again we were lucky but I can imagine parking around the hotel can be tough at times.

Good hotel and great value for money

My young daughter and I really enjoyed our night at La Résidence and wished we could have stayed longer. This was one of the best hotels we had while in France; I would highly recommend it. It is an easy walk to and from the train station, and it is right on a pedestrian mall - perfect for shoppers! It also is quite close to Vieux Lyon. It is an attractive hotel and the staff are particularly pleasant.
