City Hotel

Low budget hotel in the center of Luxembourg. Perfect for night life (500m to
bars, clubs and restaurants) and right across the street from the train
station. Going there by car (what we did) not recommended. No lane to unload or
stop for a minute. Just park on the street, no one will complain! Employees were
ok, since it's no 5-star hotel, rooms were clean and ok. I would stay there
again, but get there by train.

The hotel was on a corner of two major city routes - a lot of traffic noise if
you want your window open. The hotel was not non smoking as there seemed to be
a smoke smell throughout. The staff were friendly.

• The hotel was centrally located near shopping and not a long distance from the old part of the city. 
• Too much noise, too much smoke, slightly expensive.

I stayed at The City Hotel with my Mother for three nights. We found the hotel
very convenient, very quiet and relaxed. The staff was helpful, attentive and
practical. The location close to the Railway Station is excellent. Our room had
a nice view, a spacious closet, and a safe. It was split by a wall between the
beds and a comfortable living room. It was easy to feel at home.

• Very little noise. Very close to the Railwaystation, the inner city and busses. Good Morning Buffet - the fruit salad was a nice mix of preserved and fresh fruits. The beds were good - not too soft. The Maid split the two beds when she saw we were mother and daughter, not a couple. 
• The coffee served with the Morning Buffet tasted like instant coffee. All meats was porc. The door to the bathroom is made of glass - a little more privacy would be nice. Tourist Information in Luxembourg is not very good. The staff might be helpful here. Going to Trier cost 6 Euro by bus for two persons, by IC Train 33,60 Euro, and RE Train 21,60 Euro. Travelling all of Luxembourg all Saturday cost 6 Euro. This is not logic to foreigners. The Mobility Center only answers questions.
