Hotel International au Lac

Hotel International au Lac typifies everything that is good about staying in Switzerland. The hotel has old world charm, the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. The beds comfortable with lovely crisp white bedding. There is nothing overblown or glitzy - I heartily recommend but probably to those who value charm over glitz. Location is also great for window shopping and access to the lake and restaurants. My room was quite small but who cares as the room rate was excellent?

This was an excellent hotel and very close to the Lakeside - perfect for the holidaymaker. It is also very central to the main part of town. My only criticism is that the directions need modifying. When you tern left along the lakeside, you have to go for about half a mile rather than just a short distance. Also the Hotel signage is Hotel Internationale and Au Lac does not appear on the hotel building.

Very nice situation with wiew of the lake, near shopping facilitees, near center.

	I liked the athmosphere and "cachet"which I put before "comfort. Comfort is not very important to me, I prefere old historical buildings with small gardens and a nice outside swimming-pool...
