Iona Inn

located at a busy street corner about 10 minute walk over the bridge to the city which was ok. Staff very friendly and welcoming and always very helpful. The pub was a really good place for an entertaining night out. Although the bedroom was a bit dated Iona Inn is a good place to stay for a city break in Derry.

A bit dubious about staying at a 2* but what a pleasant experience. 5 mins walk into town, nice well appointed room, super breakfast, had own key so go in and out as we pleased, staff very friendly, pub next door a real old fashioned Irish pub with very friendly locals. Excellent "posh" restaurant 150 yds up the road lovely Chinese restaurant/takeaway round the corner, good cafe (Inc Internet) over the road and and a number of fish & Chip & takeaways nearby. Would stay there again.

The Iona Inn, which is within an easy 10-minute stroll of the City walls and town centre, offers excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Iona has its own limited car parking space but there is an inexpensive public car park just across the road from the Iona.

	Negotiating the town centre on a busy Friday afternoon (you need to take the upper level of the bridge crossing) - not the fault of the Iona.

Iona was as we expected good value for money the staff were lovely, breakfast GREAT and set us up for the day, the bar next door wonderful as were the clients. we will definatley use the Inoa again and recommend it.

	learned more about Northern Ireland with the bus tour of derry and a foot tour of the city wall, all of which we really would recommend that visitor must do. then a spot of shopping .
