The staff are very friendly and helpful. The appearance has improved since my last visit.

The friendliness of the staff.

The beds are small and the matress could be of better quality.

My daughter and I come every year for a two day shopping spree in Liverpool having lived in Sheffield for 34 years and as an ex Liverpudlian I still enjoy coming home and we both love the Adelphi. The rooms are so spacious and the corridors are lovely and wide. The lounge area is beautiful, and we regularly have the morning coffee and scone served in there. Perhaps some nice piped music would be an addition. I do hope the Adelphi survives and grows, without being spoilt and "modernised" in the extreme. It is such a treasure and should not compete with the ulta modern hotels being thrown up in Liverpool. Car parking is a dream at the Adelphi and the chaps on the car parking are so obliging and efficient, even though my car is full of Liverpool FC memorabilia and stickers, they still treated it with the respect it deserves!!!

We love the sound of the air in the pipes when you turn on a tap, not joking, it really adds to the atmosphere.

Perhaps all the builders in reception just coming of the building site. Not a good image. But then you have to make money.

The attitude of the staff in the breakfast restaurant left a lot to be desired.(Not very fieindly) Considering that Liverpool is such an important City to be visited in 2008 a friendly atmosphere is a MUST!!!

This was an overnight stay for relatives. Our whole experience was at the breakfast restaurant and as Canadian visitors we were NOT IMPRESSED.

Your hotel was like a whore house. There should be some type of manangement to protect your guests from prostitutes and cards under your doors. It was a total disgrace and I would not recommend anyone to stay at your hotel.I am also very tempted to contact the press.

checking out.

The embarrassement caused by suspicious staff towards single female.

We returned to Liverpool for a friends wedding. PARKING. All the hotel parking was taken (2pm on a saturday) and we had to park in mount pleasant multistory opposite (2 x £5 pay and display tickets) BOOKING IN. There were 10 couples waiting to book in with 2 staff serving, the one I got didn't seem to know what she was dooing. We had payed for an upgraded room as we had a 5 month old with us. When we got to the room it was tiny, we could not fit the pram between the bed andthe wall. I complained, after waiting again, to the member of staff that knew what she was doing. We got a great room with free cot. If we had recieved this room the first time I would have considered this hotel excelent. THE WEDDING. Staff were really helpful, the food was great and the glasses never seamed to empty.

The staywas great.

We had to complain to get what we wanted

The staff was not helpful at all. tv remote lacked batteries, I asked 3 times, they couldn't fix it. Reception never picked up the phone when I rang, not a smile when checking in or out, room service should be called no service since they never showed up. When I made a complaint the staff just looked indifferent, as they didn't care. I've stayed in many hotels in Liverpool. Compared to price this is definetely the worst.

the location is very good. close to city centre and train station.

the unwelcoming staff, which is so unlike the scouser mentality. a big disappointment.

After changing rooms on our fourth day we actually got better value for our money- our first room had been slightly disappointing ( broken toilet, hole in bathroom door, lack of cleanliness), but the room we then got two floors down was spacious and pretty with its own separate bathroom).

The fact that it was so central- and most of the staff friendly and helpful
