Hotel Wawel

Excellent location, quiet, professional staff and excellent breakfast. I can only advise this hotel to people visiting the old Krakow.

The hotel was newly refurbished and the room was very smart. However I stayed for a week and it was not vacuum cleaned once. There was no lounge or bar to relax in, and the staff were truly awful (unfriendly and unhelpful). There is obviously some arrrangement between the attached Hungarian restaurant (where breakfast is served) and the hotel, but they do not communicate, leading to a lot of problems with reservations, discounts and events. The spa is lovely however I was left sitting in the dark for 15 minutes waiting for them to sort it out-no apology, no extra time given to compensate.
