Ascot Hotel

A clean, modern hotel with all that is required for a pleasant leisure break. Within easy reach of the old town and also the station which has an efficient and cheap rail link to the airport. The breakfast had a sensible selection with everything we wanted (minor things like cold milk for cereals and juices would improve it).

	It was a good, clean, modern mid-range hotel with pleasant staff and an adequate breakfast. The room was a good sized triple. It was well located between the main square and the station.
	The triple roome overlooked the railway which was very noisy if the windows were open. It was OK with the windows shut but even in early April the room was hot, as it was in the roof, and air conditoning was required. There are no triple rooms on the non-railway side.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff - good location ( 5 mins walk from square ) very clean. No negative comments to make. Bar area could be larger but the size it is is efficient and keeps the hotel quiet

This is a smallish hotel in a quiet street just 5 minutes walk away from the main square in the historic centre. It is new in 2007 and very smart and clean. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner but the buffet breakfast served in the basement room is very good. The rooms are adequate for a weekend stay, not large but containing everything you would expect in a 3 star hotel.

	Without a doubt, the friendliness of the staff, their excellent English and their eagerness to help was the most important factor in our enjoyment of our stay.
	There is limited space in the reception/bar area and it was not always possible for the four of us to get seated together.

Unfortunately the hotel backs on to a railway and there seem to be trains throughout the night.We were allocated a very nice room but it was at the back and we had to have the air conditioning on all night to dull the train noise.However the hotel is well located for access to the Main Square etc.
