our stay was a thirtieth wedding anniversary treat from our sons. it was a lovely touch to recieve chocolates and champagne compliments of the lyrath hotel. It was fantastic the food, service, and lovely staff who just could not do enough for us .We would have to admit it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
Lovely walks which were very nescessary im afraid as the food was sumptous. Have to say the choice of food was first class. |

Expected more - could not say that Lyrath lives up to it's star rating.
Excellent advice re locality and local travel from doorman. Give that man a rise in pay. Reception Manager's helpfulness was superb. |

Opted to eat in Hotel on first night. I sent my main course back twice. Staff very apologetic and both our meals were free as a result, but it was a disappointment. Our room had a lovely terrace, that is i would have been lovely were is not for the bird droppings in mounds from the overhead nests. Ashtray on terrace not cleaned from checkin to checkout - two nights stay. |

well worth a visit....
Space.... Quiet reading areas etc Opportunity to eat casually in the bar |
|
Disappointed with the size of the Spa... Need rubber shoes not slippers as floors wet and dangerous |

Our short visit to Lyrath Estate was most enjoyable. Our rooms were very clean, nicely decorated and with great attention to detail. The staff were extremely well trained, most courteous and efficient. The food was excellent, with the range adn quality of the breakfast menu being especially noteworthy.
The staff were attentive and efficient. |

excellent hotel very spacious room at good rates for mid meek break. Had an excellent meal in the thai Yindees restaraunt. It is however more expensive than any other Thai i've eaten in and i've been in quite a few. Staff were excellent in all areas of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was very extensive well presented and tasty also. Over all I would highly reccomend this hotel for a break or a function but is a bit out of kilkenny and if your looking to enjoy cheaper and better located hotels are available.
more or less everything just think everything including the bar is a bit expensive room service also |
