A perfectly located hotel smack in the center of historic Kilkenny. Easy on the eyes with old world charm. Very convenient for a tour of the city on foot. Good food in the pub, extensive breakfast, helpful personnel. A high point of our trip.
Everything. The desk clerk (young man from Poland) was extremely helpful and pleasant. Parking was appreciated as was the central location. Food was wonderful and the rooms beautiful. Would book again and definitely recommend. |

The only downside was the American dollar! |

The hotel was nice however we did not get much sleep as the room we were in was located over Morrisons bar and the noise level was appauling so we did not get much sleep and therefore did not feel that we go vaule for money as the whole idea was to get away for a quiet weekend. We did consider staying in kilkenny for the weekend however after a sleepless night we did not stay in this hotel another night. We were also woken during the night due to the fire alarm in the hotel going off numerous times- however we could have lived with this if it werent for the noise from the pub.
The staff were freindly and we had a really nice meal in the hotel restaurant. |

This is an excellent location - right in the center of town. The hotel really is a charming place and cozy. The first floor bar appeared to be frequented by many locals. The front desk staff was quite friendly and helpful in giving recommendations for around town.
Not for those who want to get a good night sleep though - kind of hard to do with two fire alarms going off, a screaming drunk in the hallway at 3AM, and the cleaning staff banging doors at 830AM on a Sunday morning. Literally, the cleaning staff bolted the doors and let them slam shut - REPEATEDLY from 830AM-10AM on a Sunday morning. |

I really enjoyed my stay at the Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel.Beds were very comfortable.....so I had a good nights sleep.Central location, great. Loved the fires in the foyer and bar, staff great, car park so near by was great also but we did not realise that you had this facilty from your website, actually the opposite was stated on your website, "no car park" which nearly put us off.I recommend you put this right. Hope to stay with you again.
Everything, but especially the welcome of the lovely fire(it was a very cold night)and the staff. |
