Megara Palace - Old City

The hotel was quite peaceful. The beginning of November can be cold as during our stay, but there was a working heathing in the hotel.The situation was perfect: short way to the most important historical places and to the tram stop. Breakfast and the service was good. Turkish vegetables are delicious.

One night the air conditioner went on about 2 o'clock. It was very cold and disturbing but we got help from the staff. There was restaurant above our room. Moving chairs and tables on the wooden floor was sometimes very noisy for our ears; also the staff used to run in stairs. They could learn to move like cats in Istanbul do. But in general the nights were quite silent anyway. We didn't get the wake up call on the last morning, our order was not found in the list of the reception desk.

Although, i had chosen the hotel mainly on rates, its quiet atmosphere and location helped make for a near perfect holiday. I am glad i stayed there.

On the last day of my stay, i discovered that the district had had its water supply turned off. This is something out of the hotels control. However a little mitigation on the part of the hotel would improve their ratings to perfect
