Hotel Uyan

The room we stayed ?n the f?rst n?ght was so hot we had trouble sleep?ng. They couldn't cool ?t down because ?t was bes?de the furnace so they moved us to another room wh?ch was actually an upgrade. The staff only had ?nformat?on about tours and d?dn't have any ?nformat?on about places we could see on our own.

• The breakfasts were great. The v?ew from the top was spectacular. The ?nternet access was very good and free. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were tastefully furn?shed.

A great place. Highest recommendations for its location and quiet street in the midst of much movement and traffic of Sultanahmet. Now that the wireless is working, you can even manage to stay in touch by e-mail more cheaply than calling and even get some work done, if that's what you have to do. One of the best values for money anywhere.

the rooms were very big, though a bit dark. The location is excellent if you want to visit the main buildings, mosques and musea in Istanbul/
