Askin Hotel

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The Askin hotel is perfectly located right next to the Blue Mosque and with a lovely view of the Bospherus from some bedroom windows and from the roof terrace where breakfast was served. The breaksfast was very good. We found staff very helpful and polite. They arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and this worked well. Only two things lowered the ratings from a ten. I stayed in a room with the sea view and my room was claened everyday, with new towels provided. My friend was in another rom and her room was never touched during the three days we were there. However, I'm sure it would have been remedied if it had been mentioned. Secondly, we had booked a return trip to the airport, but staff did not seem to know about this. However, when I showed them the email, they were very efficient in arranging transport at the price agreed.

First of all this should not be call a hotel, but a guest house type. The staff was very dissorganized, working old fashion way and unfriendly. I requested airport transfers and submitted my itinerary in advance. The hotel didn't send any representative to pick me upon my arrival. Some rooms don't have air conditioning and bathroom accessories were broken and falling apart. I requested a discount for the sauna night and was denied because they said I stayed in a double room, which was as a matter of fact the worst in the hotel. I know this is not a five star hotel but for the price, you defenetily don't get what you paid for. I'll not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.
