I had stayed at the hotel before and so knew I would be made comfortable.

	The accomodation was roomy and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good.
	Access into central Hereford, although only a short distance is not easy because of the heavy traffic.

Best value for money bed and breakfast stayed in during this visit to UK. excellent!

	Reception, politeness and efficiency

Brandon Lodge is well situated on a main road into Hereford. It is a simple B and B with additional lodge style rooms. Very hig standard of cleanliness, but beginning to be slightly worn. The owner called ahead to re confirm my booking which initially felt freindly , but on arrival the prlethora of "Helpful notices" felt controlling and cramped my enjoyemnt. Also of concern were the lacy bed head adornments, and crocheted toilet roll cover. An iron was available on request. It was perfectly OK, but came with an instruction not to burn the carpet. Staff were however friendly and efficient. The Freeview in the rooms was good and local information available. The bed was firm without being supportive. I did not sleep well. Breakfast was standard, juice , instant coffee and budget bacon, but for the price point acceptable. It was all super clean and good value, but I won't rush to return.
