Hotel de Doelen

De Doelen hotel is a good choice for anyone desiring to stay at the very heart of Groningen. It's location directly on the Groot Markt is convienient to most sites and activities. The staff was most welcoming and helpful.

	Staff was very helpful and friendly. The locaton is very good. My room overlooking the market square provided a "very European" experience.
	The phone system was not operating correctly. As a result guests could not dial out. This was very difficult for me since making a long distance call to America was very important. However, the staff came through and helped. One of the front desk staff offered to let me use his personal cell phone to make a brief call to America advising those there of the situation.

Great hotel for cruising Groningen. Middle of he centre and next to the great cafe.

Nice and classic hotel, rooms are well equiped and comfortable, althoug a kingsize bath in a single room is a bit out of place. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of town on a walking distance from all key features of the city.

A very comfortable hotel, the most centrally located in the city, and recently renovated.
