Location is excellent. All the staff I encountered were friendly, attentive and helpful. Breakfasts were good, and served quickly. I look forward to the completion of work on the restaurant, and its opening for evening meals. Rooms were clean and comfortable. WiFi internet excellent, and very convenient. It turned out not to be necessary to go to the lounge to get good WiFi reception (as staff suggested) - I could use it from my room. Safes in rooms a good point, but mine didn't open so couldn't be used.
It's location: close to the Art Gallery, the Mitchell Library, the Genealogy Centre in Park Circus, the city centre, and the motorways, making it easy to get to anywhere I wanted in South West Scotland. Very reasonable cost for a city hotel. |

I had only a few very minor criticisms: No glass for water in the bathroom, all doors very heavy, with strong springs which made them difficult to open. This, quite unnecessarily, included the door of the ensuite bathroom. The parking lot is small, not enough space for cars. More could be fitted in if lines were painted to mark parking spaces. Bedside lights were not suitable for rreading - did not provide a strong downlight. |

Hotel is currently under some refurbishment which did cause a little disruption. However, on the whole, the hotel offered very comfortable accommodation in a good location.
Comfortable rooms. |

Smoking rooms not offered, which was not clear when booking. |

Generally everything was what you'd expect for the price.
Room was O.K. and clean |

Some details not looked after. One bedside light had no bulb. The door hook on the bathroom door loose, fell off. Lighting in bathroom a bit dim. |

This is a beautiful hotel sited very close to SECC (7 mins walk). Nice staff, very helpful young people in the reception and restaurant. Clean, large rooms. We would choose this hotel again.
the shower in 216 didn't work; either hot OR cold water. Problems with electricity, sometimes the lights didn't work.. but this was minor problems after all. |

Came with good full breakfast, decent location, inexpensive last minute booking. Bed not particularly comfortable, but okay. Nothing extra special about the hotel. Currently undergoing renovation in the lobby.
