Carlton George Hotel

Helpful staff. Great restauant-best risotto of my life. Complimentary drinks, very generous. One block from Queen street train station-perfect.

Our stay was brilliant. Great location. Beautiful hotel. Room was very nice and clean. Complimentary cold & hot drinks added a special touch. Positive Note: Staff were very courteous. 3 Negatives Notes: 1. Staff did not know how to make a call outside of the City. 2. Disconnecting our room cards @ 1pm the day before we leave stating we're over the 500 Sterling hotel limit? This hotel policy should have been duly noted upon our arrival whereupon we would have sign off on such. The hotel had my visa number from my reservation. Fact... the hotel is listed as a 4-Star hotel, hence act accordingly. Do not belittle your clientele or the hotel. 3. Unfortunatley we did not get to eat at Windows Restaurant on the 7th floor yet were charged breakfast for 2 (x 7 days). Hence having to waste time asking what the extra 30 Sterling a day charge was for - then waiting to remove the charges. Ask the clientele before their bill is printed. Telephone Messages... we did not receive 3 telephone messages and 1 friend left a msg saying it was very important.

Excellent value for a city centre hotel. We will certainly return and will recommend hotel to our friends and relations. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Wife and I both enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Location was nice, staffs were quite friendly. The room was clean and confortable although not so gorgeous than I expected. A breakfast was not included in my pakkage, but was no ploblem. A lot of restrants are available around there. I really like the hotel!!

A minor criticism but an important one in that our roomoverlooked the kitchen extraction so if we opened the window for air it was too noisey, unfortuately the air condition system was also noisy which made it difficult to sleep. However everything else was perfect and the complimentary papers and min bar an extra special touch.
