Hotel Monasterium PoortAckere

The atmosphere of the hotel was wonderfull: the old doors and the neo-gothic windows, the corners with old spiral steps and the chapels. Anyone who loves history, architecture and art would enjoy to stay here. The service was very good, the receptionist were helpfull and friendly. Whenever I will visit Gent again, I will try to reserve a room in the Monasterium hotel again

	The location and the atmosphere of it.
	The single room where I stayed had no bathroom, but that it would have helped if there had been warm running water.

The staff were delightful. The room was simple, comfortable and clean.

	The friendliness of the staff. Pleasant atmosphere and convenient location for the old centre of Ghent. The chapel is a tourist sight in itself.
	I was surprised to find two single beds rather than a double, but we hadn't specifically requested a double-bed. So ask for a double in advance if you want one.

	in my room, there was such a scent that I was suspecting problems with damp; there was also quite a cold during the first nights

The room was on the 2nd floor with no lift or help with luggage. It was simple, almost spartan, in terms of furnishing. Otherwise clean and friendly. Breakfast, as euro 12.50, was expensive but there were no other alternatives close to hand. The floors were excessively noisy- it was impossible to walk about the room quietly

A very interesting and different style of hotel.. Eating in the hotels resturant is a must. Reccomend that you try their chicken filled with Halibut a very good meal..

	Location to the town square. Great food.
	Nothing to dislike on this stay.

Right by the centre, nice and clean. Easter package was a bargain, would stay again and what a breakfast.

	The hotel in itself, calm and special, classy without being to upmarket.
