Grand Hotel Mediterraneo

Good hotel. Althought the price varies many times in Booking.com, the price I paid was fair.

All noise came thru the walls ( the neighbour drying her hair, the phone rang in their room and I thought it was my phone). Our room was near the stairs ( 236 )and people were running up and down. That was noisy. American tourist groups arrived on Sunday 12th May and they were very noisy and drank. I didn't realise that the hotel is one of the biggest in Italy.

Small rooms and especially bathrooms (shower 75x75 cm!) Too little space for placing toiletteries. Good and silent air-condition. Unsufficient noise-isolation towards the floor. Very roomy and inviting reception area, very good service at the bar. Polite and effective service at the reception. Restaurant should serve real scrambled eggs and not the instant version. The location was a little bit too far away from the main attractions by foot, but that is not necessarily the hotel's problem.

When you can get a room on the back side and the kitchen pay more atention , than I can recomand this hotel to friends .

	we ask for a room on the back site, but we got a room on the street side . when we complain that our food was cold they put it into the microwave to heat it up,after that it was tastless and burned .

The hotel was very good and although it was a three-star hotel, I would rate it more 4 star. It is not very central but then Florence is not that big either.
