Thistle Exeter

I was met with a very miserable and unhelpful receptionist who handed my my card key and simply walked away. Although my room was very nice, I had absolutely no hot water and had to have a cold showr in the evening an in the morning. The breakfast was good, but unfortunately one waitress in the morning had very body odor, which put me and my sister off our food. Your only saving grace was the head bar man(?) whos' name I think is Ruben. He could not have been more professional and very helpful - faultless. He had a superb manner and looked after all the guests brilliantly. It would be a good idea for the rest off the staff that we encountered to take a leaf out of his book.

The hotel was very comfortable and being right in the middle of Exeter it is within easy access of all the shops and restaurants. My daughter is at university in Exeter and her accommodation is in the town and the hotel is very convenient for this also.

The hotel was fine and the staff very pleasant. The restaurant staff were willing but seemed unable to cope with the logistics. The kitchen and bar appeared some distance away and main course was delivered and then you had to wait 2/3 minutes for them to return with accompanying vegatables etc. Then at breakfast I think the use of chafing dishes would be better for the staff to deal efficiently with the number of guests.

Very good value for money; friendly stuff; central location.

A very good souvenir, nice stay we enjoyed a lot.

My stay was wonderful. The Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

	The servers in the Restraunt were a treasure. Very friendly & efficient.
