Exeter Court Hotel

Having read previous reviews with a large pinch of salt we were still pleasantly surprised with the value for money

	The breakfast!!! Also the brilliant breakfast chef and head waiter that happily gave us a push start when we found our battery had gone flat. (We weren't the first)
	We felt that the dinner menu was a little pricey We would also have liked better lighting for the outside courtyard although the blue lights are very pretty.

Overall, the room was comfortable. However, the restaurant was far from satisfactory. We had an evening meal which was luke warm, the service slow and waiters unaware that vegetables accompanied the main course. With only 3 tables occupied, one would have thought service would have been spot on. Breakfast was a fiasco. The dining room was full. Two waiters busying themselves - no organisation. Waited an hour to be served and when cooked breakfast arrived, it was luke warm. People were leaving before being served because of the long delays. Chaos! We did pass our feelings over to the receptionist about our stay and appeared to be taken seriously.

	The room was comfortable and heat was accessible (it was a chilly day)
	As mentioned above, the food, service and restaurant were appauling.

Excellent breakfast and service in the dining room.

	The ability to park next to your room;a great asset when transporting luggage at our age with arthritis.

The only thing that spoilt the stay was the doors in the corridors which although had self closures on, were not set so that they closed quietly- the door frames needed some sponge or like to soften the noise. One night some lads came in at 3 am and the noise woke up us and others in our unit, they must of used the corridor doors about 10 times for some reason.

	Good quality breakfast with prompt service.

Our stay was very good. We only stopped over on our way to Cornwall, which broke our journey excellent. I found the staff to be helpful, reception Excellent, Restaurant staff good but slow, food was just OK. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

This was not a hotel but more like a Motel not what Iexpected. Despite impresive reception, restaaurant and bar, food was obviously micro waved and rooms seemed in need of upgrading, soft furnishings were dirty.

The main areas were very nice ie:resturant and reception,the rooms I would say could be in need of updating from the 70,s.

	As we only had 1 night could not give any comment,was ideal for getting into Exeter

	food good - staff very good
	bed very hard and uncomfortable. pillows u/s. shower waste of time and water. shower curtained smelt and not changed when asked.
