We enjoyed our stay at your hoel and will use it again when we travel that way again.
It is close to where we have relatives so its nice to visit and not be in the way and have our own space. |

The room was bright and cheerful with tea-making facilities which are always welcome. We slept well on the first night but on the second night we realised that the walls were paper thin when guests in the next room partied all night - even after we complained to Reception who we heard telling them to quieten down.
Nice enough area - about a 10 minute walk from the town of Epping. |

Good place to stay a night if you have a rental car. Pretty easy to find.

The hotel is perfectly located if you rent a car from Stansted and would like to drive in Essex but also park the car to visit London by tube (takes almost an hour). However, if you don't have a car, you should take a taxi or be prepared for a long walk uphill from the tube station. Our expectations were not very high but we were positively surprised. Our double room was located in the newer section behind the main building. We could park the car very close, and there were no stairs to the room which was nice for us travelling with a small child. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom spacious and tidy. It was very peaceful there, no disturbing noises at all, not even the noise from the street. The breakfast was OK, with all what we needed except fresh vegetables (well, a nice collection of fruits instead). The staff was friendly. We can recommend the hotel for those travelling by car and looking for an affordable, peaceful hotel in this area.
location, free car park, family-friendly place, price, friendly staff |

We stayed at the hotel during the World Scout Jamboree, because we were vip-dayvisitors there. It was important for me to find a hotel on the way between Luton- Airport and Chelmsford / Airfield and with a station in the town, also to have a parkingplace (free) at the hotelside. For 3 nights, a short citytrip to London and the WSJ, was it okay. But the way to Luton(31m/50km) was horrible, needs more than 3 hours.

Very basic for the cost. We arrived at 11.15pm after a long journey escaping the floods in Sheffield. I had to ask for a receipt. We were told our room number as though we would know where it was. I had to ask which way to go! When we got to the room, my sons bed was not made up. I went back to reception. They came and gave us the bedding, but did not offer to make the bed up! even when I said that I would be complaining!!!
Having to make your own taost at breakfast. The table manager was stood next to the toaster and it was not busy, but he let someone else take our toast. He did not put anymore on. When we put some more toast in, it was on the wrong setting, so he watched it burn. Also the rooms were very noisy. When I woke up I could clearly hear the couple next morning talking!!! |
