excellent location, helpful staff, reasonably spacious and clean room. good breakfast.
not enough towels - when you step out of the shower/bath, no towel for you to stand on, thus leaves the floor wet and slippery |

The location of the hotel is exellent. The rooms are big enough, but part of the rooms placed above the "Chicken Revolution" fast-food bar and has a corresponding smell-not a big pleasure...

Comfortable room. However, it is awkword getting to the sockets behind the television to use hairdryer or other electrical appliance. Perhaps the unit holding the tea/coffee, kettle and television could be moved along a bit. Bed lights did not work in my room, had to use main lights. Access for elderly or disabled persons could present difficulties due to the flight of stairs to get into the hotel and to the rooms themselves. Refurbishment currently ongoing, but caused no discomfort to guests.
Free to come and go as you pleased. Staff pleasant. |

Heating poor in bedroom, no extra blanket for use in room as the weather was very cold.Room would have done with a touch of paint and the door was very hard to open as it was dragging along the carpet. It was impossible to sleep with noise from the street because of the glasing and age of the windows.
Staff were helpful. |

Great! The value for money was excellent, especially with the breakfast included in the morning (bacon, eggs, pancakes as well as cereal/juice/tea/coffee). Room was nice too.
The price included both an ensuite and breakfast - wonderful! |

Overall from the outside I was pleasantly surprised since it was in the City Centre, however on entering the hotel, I was slightly shocked, as it was bare and I thought to myself, 'Oh My God' however do not let the foyer put you off, the room I was given was to a 'Travelodge' standard and will when I am back in Edinburgh stay at this hotel
The only down side to this location is the parking it is on a bus lane which operates from 7:30 and the breakfast is from 7:30, however on the day I was here, I did not get a ticket and I left the hotel at 7:45am so I guess it would be the luck of the draw. |

The parking which was previously explained. |

Room was freshly refurbished nice and clean, public areas a little jaded however we did not use them other than for breakfast. Breakfast was good, overall a good place to stay for a few nights
