Central am Dom

excellent location for someone to explore the old city on foot, take a tour on a river boat and go shopping. lovely hotel, really close to hauptbahnhof, only 5 min away from the DOM and many choices on public transportation to explore the rest of the city. although it is located in the very heart of cologne it is a very peaceful, quite and safe hotel to stay. for breakfast we had to pay 6 euros per person per day, but the buffet had a large variety on bread, deli, eggs and "c-real" and u could have as much as u liked. i stayed really happy with my choice. really one of the best bookings i ever made online.

Overall content!

very good location, easy to reach mainstation, and also shopping street. The room is some little, but comfortable. The only point is that we booked 3 double rooms, but they gave us 2 double rooms and 1 twin room (1 queensize bed).

Very good location and surrondings-near and walking distance to everything. If you book a room towards the church quite silent only the churchbells during daytimes. Good restaurant with breakfast and other meals too. Problem if you go by car with parking places. Staff recommend us to park in another hotel garage and that is ok - it is a bit expensive

Nice central location,Stairways and corridors smelly and dirty.Room and staff ok.Disturbing traffic 24/7.

	Good location and friendly staff.
	Corridor from reseption to rooms was long and in public use of restaurants.Bad smell and dirty way to room gave a bad first impression of hotel. Room was not cleaned (16.30) so we had go out and wait an hour more for cleaning. Noisy room,traffic 24/7 kept us awake. No aircondition.

The male officers, wearing glasses, working at the front desk were very arrogant and rude. I were the owner of the desk I would sack them. I rate them 1 only. However,the two female officerswho were at the Central Am Dom in Cologne were very polite and couteous, specially Frau Ana Eggers.
