Best Western Connaught Hotel

Our experience was varied. On arrival we were not given a word of welcome - not even a welcome smile! The first thing that was said was to ask for payment and would I be willing to give a donation to a charity. On passing by the reception on a number of occasions it was difficult to raise a smile from the receptionists. When I asked for something they were always 'civil' but cold and unfriendly. The staff in the Restaurant were very different - they were always smiling and willing to go the extra mile to help and please.

	as above the reception staff could be far more friendly and maybe be trained to smile and be outgoing more welcoming

The hotel rooms are reasonable well appointed and we enjoyed the stay although this time it was only one night. The restaurant is well worth a visit and the food has been excellent on every visit. The included breakfasts are almost too generous. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, good facilities (including a leisure centre) and friendly staff. The food and service in the hotel restaurant was excellent although the menu was maybe a little restricted. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

	Swimming pool and sauna. Restaurant. Easy access to town centre, pier etc.
	Standard room only had a small bathroom and shower.

excellent stay, would love to come back

when we arrived and were shown the room we were very pleased with the quality of the room.Before dinner we swam in your excellent pool,which was very enjoyable.Dinner was excellent with good entertainment afterwards.In all avery relaxing and pleasant stay.

	Polite staff from the moment we checked in,Good food.Cleanliness of the Hotel,good location and excellent facillities.

Reception staff on three mornings gave an early call which was not requested.It took three requests to reception before it was cancelled.Our car had a notice afixed to say it would be removed as it was illegally parked.Upon arrival out car details were given at reception.It transpired that we should have given a permit to display.

	We were given a room for the disabled which had not been requested.We would have preferred the accommodation for which we originally booked.

Very good value for money.

Very pleased we chose the Best Western Connaught. Restaurant and restaurant staff first class.

	Hotel clean and very comfortable. Very nice conservatory and patio.
