Best Western Premier Hotel Cappello d'Oro

I took my Mother for a mini break to this hotel for her 82nd Birthday. We had a great experience and found the staff very helpful and friendly. I have recommend Bergamo and the hotel to firiends. Excellent value the best hotel my family have ever stayed at.

We stayed one night at the Cappello d'Oro on our way home from Lake Como. It's an unassuming place from the outside, so it's quite a surprise when you walk into the lobby from the busy street and find such an oasis of calm. The hotel is clean, smart, cool and tastefully furnished. The staff are professional and helpful, and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Rooms have a mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, satellite TV, air conditioning, a massive bed, and the room I had was blissfully quiet, overlooking a pretty courtyard. The hotel is ideally located, two minutes from Bergamo's main shopping streets, and a 10-minute walk from the funicular which takes you up to the old city. We didn't eat in the hotel - the restaurant was quite formal, expensive, and very empty the night we stayed, which is probably not surprising given that there are so many excellent restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend the Cappello d'Oro and would certainly stay there again.

We arrived by car, and found it very difficult to park. The hotel does offer underground parking, but there is nowhere to stop outside the hotel to unload the luggage and check in. We ended up leaving the car on a parking meter one block away, and carrying our bags to the lobby. The alternative was to stop right outside the hotel on a very busy main road and put the hazard lights on, which didn't seem like a very good idea. The secret not to have a car - you certainly don't need one in Bergamo.

Well located, very clean hotel with friendly staff. Great breakfast.Definetly would stay again.

Nice hotel but no car park, no place to unload bags from car

	No double bed, two beds it is not the same
