Main reason for choosing Acta Atrium Palace: Location
This is a stylish Hotel very well located for all that Barcelona has to offer. We stayed for a long weekend (3 nights) with our son and his girlfriend so had 2 rooms, 1 internal,overlooking a school and the other overlooking the main road. Both were spacious, well equiped and neither were troubled by noise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast, both hot and cold, was freshly prepared with a good choice
There was a bit of a problem with draughts in the Breakfast room. Because it was linked to the cafe/bar open to the public, when the external door opened this created a quite a cold draught. A minor problem and it would not put us off a return visit

... the above comments stand on their own, but as the room we booked wasn't available when we checked in, we were given the best room in the hotel at the same price. A good management call.

Reception staff were very friendly and efficient.
Fast access to Old Town and all local sightseeing.
Yes the swimming pool was not as advertised it was just like a large jacuzzi

The hotel was good, located reasonably within city center. Our room faced the rear of the hotel and below was a large elementary school and kindergarten, thus the noise of children was sometimes disturbing (early in the morning and afternoon). In overall, the hotel was good.
The staff was helpful and friendly and the service was good.

Nice hotel in a good location, unfortunately our room's window faced into a school sport field, relatively noisy during the day.

We thought the hotel was clean,conveniently located, and the staff very helpful and hospitable. We will stay here again when we return to Barcelona.
The staff were most helpful and they spoke English.
Our room window faced the school yard and in the morning the children could be heard in the yard. We are early risers so it did not affect us.
