Van der Valk Hotel Assen

On balance we liked the hotel, but were a bit put off by the slow service during one evening meal. There was a mix up with the handover between the staff, and we were kept waiting for our dinner for some considerable time.

	We liked the flexible meal times.

A big hotel at the edge of a major highway, wich makes it very accessible

	A lot of space in the room, good beds and a great breakfast-buffet
	The Pay-TV option was a little poor. Only two choices, canal+ red channel or a lot of adult movies. Not my kind of choice.

Finding our way in the hotel was pretty difficult... Not many signs telling the way....Where are ellevators? Where is my room?

	I really enjoyed the cafe..rooms were big and clean..

Real hot in the Hallway to my room. I lost a memory card of my Handhold Computer, and they find it back and send it to me, what a service!!

	The possibility to drink a beer outside the bar.

Very nice hotel. With large comfortable rooms and perfect location for the Assen curcuit. We will be back.
