The view from the monastery loggia is unforgettable. A number of attractive villages such as Kučište, Perna, Viganj and Lovište are only a part of the tourist trade of Pelješac. Your stay in Orebić will certainly not be monotonous. Mountaineers will enjoy climbing the top of the St.Ilija mountain. Although it is situated at the very end of the southern Croatia, except for the lack of the motorway, the traffic connections of Pelješac are quite satisfactory. The following are the suggested options: If you travel by car and come from the north you will probably choose various routs to Ploče. There you can relax and decide whether to take the ferry toTrpanj or the road via Neum to Ston and Orebić. If you decide to take a boat you can board it in Rijeka, via Split and Hvar, and go ashore in Korčula which is well connected with Orebić by ferries and passenger ships. If you travel by plane the nearest airports are in Dubrovnik and Split. Both towns are regularly connected with Orebić by boats and coaches.
